It was originally meant to be the B-single for Keep It Together (last single of Like A Prayer album). Warner then realized this was a potential hit so they released it as a single (good idea, coz it was a smash #1 hit all over the world). Since it was such a hit they put it as bonus track on "I'm Breathless", the album inspired by the movie Tracy. One year later it was put on her compilation The Immaculate Collection.
