Is there any rule concerning how a bowler appeals ...?

i think there should be some rules for appealing... i have seen many bowlers... who appeals on the face of umpire and makes odd gestures.. it is not good.. so umpire has to given some authority to stop all this... all the players should play the game in some discipline...
