How do I insert my 2 gauge double flared plugs?

I bought two pairs of flared plugs, but I can not get them in. I've tried so many times. I even bought 0 tapers to try to help, but I can't get those in either. Also, I'm scared that once I do get them in, that I wont be able to get them out. I've tried the whole putting them in after the shower and using a lubricant. I pretty much just stick to single flared or O- rings on both sides. But I'm so limited because all the really cool ones are double flared. So PLEASE! Anybody know? And I don't care what your opinion is on gauges, so don't comment if you don't have the answer please. Thanks (:
