What creams will help remove pimples from my cheeks?

I have over 100 pimples if not more all over my cheeks. My nrighbor donna jean told me if I rub bacon grease all over it that it will extract the oils and the pimples will go away. Well She told me that when I only had a few pimples and they are worse. Did I use the wrong type of bacon grease? Was I supposed to cook the grease more? in the meantime can I start popping the pimples to kill time?
