My throat is hurting like ive been yelling for hours...what could it be?

i went to the ortho today for my braces consultation and my bf said it might be that i had my mouth open really wide but i only had it open that wide for like a second.i dunno its weird.it hurts really bad.and no im not getting a cold..its a different kinda pain.if anyone can help id appreciate it.thanks!!!
